This 20ft x 8ft used open top container is available for sale and delivery USA-wide.
Open top containers do not have the conventional steel corrugated container roof. Instead they have removable bows and a weatherproof tarpaulin which can be secured with ropes. This significantly simplifies the loading and unloading process which is usually done by crane from above. The door header (above the door) can also be swung round / removed to allow easy access for the cargo.
Open top containers are ideal for the movement of machinery. The container must be shipped with the bows and tarpaulin which also provide some strength. If the machinery is over height then usually you will need to use a flat rack container which has no roof at all. Lashing rings are provided for securing the load during transport.

The difference between a 20′ HC Open Top Container and a regular HC container is the roof that can be fully opened. The roof structure of the container has been replaced by a tarpaulin, enabling transportation of oversized loads.

Shipping Time: Standard Shipping time is 7-15 business day (Monday to Friday)
Shipping Costs
We offer a flat shipping rate of $300 for all orders, regardless of destination, as long as the shipment is within the United States. This flat rate covers all handling, packaging, and transportation fees.
Tracking Confirmation
After your container has been shipped, we will send you a confirmation email with tracking details. This will enable you to monitor your shipment’s progress and estimate its expected delivery date.
Shipping Restrictions
- We do not ship to P.O. Boxes or APO/FPO addresses.
- All deliveries require a valid street address within the United States.
Damaged or Lost Shipments
If your shipment is damaged or lost in transit, please contact us immediately at info@astorshippingcontainers.com. We will work with the carrier to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. If a replacement or refund is warranted, we will inform you of the next steps.
Changes to Shipping Address

Return Eligibility

Warranty Coverage
This warranty applies to all containers purchased from astorshippingcontainers.com and covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service conditions.
Warranty Period
New Containers: We offer a 10-year limited warranty from the date of purchase on all new containers.
Used Containers: We offer a 4-year limited warranty from the date of purchase on all used containers.
Refurbished Containers: We offer a 5-year limited warranty from the date of purchase on all Refurbished containers.

What is Covered
The warranty covers the following:
Structural integrity, including but not limited to, rust-through of the steel frame and panels.
Water-tightness (free from leaks) during the warranty period.
Proper functioning of doors, locks, and hinges.
What is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover:
Damage caused by misuse, neglect, accident, or improper installation.
Cosmetic issues, including but not limited to, surface rust, dents, scratches, or paint issues.
Normal wear and tear or damage resulting from transportation or handling after delivery.
Modifications or alterations made to the container after purchase.
Warranty Claim Process
To make a warranty claim, please follow these steps:

- Provide Proof of Purchase: Include your order number, date of purchase, and a description of the issue.
- Inspection: We may require photos, videos, or an on-site inspection to assess the condition of the container.
- Resolution: If your claim is approved, we will repair the container, provide replacement parts, or, at our discretion, replace the container with a comparable model. If repair or replacement is not possible, we may offer a prorated refund.
Exclusions and Limitations
This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
This warranty is valid only for containers purchased directly from Astor Shipping Containers or an authorized reseller.
